Out in the brisk night air, Molly looked around to make sure no one saw her. It was late and all the lights were out in the village. Shivering a little in the cold, Molly pressed on. Off to the woods to find the source of the foul smell that stoked her curiosity.
She looked around, but everything looked different at night. Maybe the deer had to lead her? She thought. But then she smelled it. The foul smell from earlier, there was no mistaking it. She paused briefly, remembering Natsuki’s words. She thought of heading back, but she just had to know. She wanted to do whatever she could to find Natsuki’s people for her. Molly pressed foreword.
